Behind the Scenes: Accessories Handmade in England

We recently had the pleasure of going behind the scenes with some of the expert makers that hand craft our leather and silk accessories in England. By capturing a glimpse of the process, we see the specialised skills, meticulous attitude and the years of experience that is required to make each of our brand-new accessories, available exclusively in-store at number 13 Savile Row.

Our New English Bridle Leather Belts

Available in two colours our brand-new belts boast the U.K’s finest leather and craftsmanship.

Together with our bespoke leatherworker, we have designed classic English belts that celebrate both Bakers Oak Bark Bridle hide and Segwicks Bridle hide from the last remaining oak bark tannery in the UK.

“Oak bark tanning is a long slow process, taking 14 months to produce each piece of leather.  Modern tanning methods are much faster but simply cannot match the strength, feel and character of oak bark bridle hide.”

Each belt is cut, shaped and burnished individually and finished with solid brass buckles that are cast in the last commercial brass buckle foundry in the UK.

Not only beautiful, but these belts will also last a lifetime!

Our New Tussah Silk Ties

Made from a beautifully tactile Tussah silk, this limited collection of ties has been hand cut to our exclusive pattern. Each Richard Anderson tie is cut wider through the body and given a little extra length to accommodate the double Windsor knot we favour.

Below, Brian captures the hand finishing of each tie. From pressing and attaching the self-loops to the final stages of labelling and the tonal bullion stitch.

Available in Dusky Blue, Ivory, Candy Pink, Mink, Navy and Claret, exclusively in-store.
