We continue to refine and expand our women’s bespoke offering in-house, offering new and existing clients the best fit, whether it be a jacket, a full suit with trousers or skirt, our team is qualified to ensure you walk out feeling empowered.
Now, we are incredibly proud to continue to build and expand our bespoke womenswear offering with two new models in incredibly interesting cloths. For this particular collection, Richard, Brian, Molly and our team of highly skilled tailors at number 13 Savile Row have created two new exclusive female suits which can be replicated to fit all body types in different cloths; every woman deserves to have a perfectly tailored suit!
Our latest bespoke models (The Fawn Check and Gold Dogtooth Suits) have been created using cloth from famed wool mill Vitale Barberis Canonico (est. 1661), one of the oldest wool mills in the world who are now a leader in the sustainable production of wool. Picked out by Molly Anderson, the new designs use materials from the new H.O.P.E collection (How To Optimise People and Environment). The H.O.P.E. fabrics are the result of long-term study and research, looking into unexpected, beautiful natural colours in browns, oranges, creams, that are un-dyed, pure, and therefore non-harmful for the environment (for example, they use a particular Moretta wool from a Spanish breed of sheep, which stands out for the dark colour of its fleece).
‘I wanted to showcase one skirt suit and one trouser suit to really show the many exciting possibilities there can be when it comes to bespoke tailoring for women’, says Molly Anderson. ‘These are very simple, versatile and flattering designs that can be tailored for any woman for any occasion.’
Both can be worn as full three-piece suits or as separates thanks to the design and easy-to-match colours of all six pieces from each suit.
Three Piece Fawn Check Suit
The Single-Breasted Three-Piece Fawn/Grey Check Suit, featuring a Peak lapel, one-button front, three-button cuff showing a nod to men’s sports coats, strong dart throughout side-body to create shape, lined with pink lining and pink under collar. The suit design offers its wearer flattering high-waisted trousers and importantly practicality with pleated fronts and fob pocket for phone/cards, discreetly concealed. This suit embodies modern androgynous style combining pink, a colour which is historically seen as feminine and partnering that with a traditional masculine three-piece ensemble.

Three Piece Gold Dogtooth Suit
The Three-Piece Gold Dogtooth Suit, single breasted suit is paired with a matching mini skirt creating an elegant a line silhouette. Featuring the signature Richard Anderson house style notch lapel, single breasted waistcoat, two jetted pockets with 5 button front and matching gold lining at back. Paired with a skirt this suit shows the versatility of these cloths with various styles available with the Richard Anderson bespoke service for women.

Ladies Fawn Mess Jacket with Satin Facing
Let us introduce one of our favourite models, our Single-Breasted Chocolate and Cream Women’s Mess Jacket, complete with a brown satin shawl lapel, a flattering three-button front with oyster shell buttons and a matching three-button cuff.
The mess jacket is a type of formal jacket that ends at the waist. Incredibly flattering, feminine shape. Used in military mess dress, during the 1930s it became a popular alternative to the white dinner jacket in hot and tropical weather for black tie occasions. Its origin was a spencer, a tail-less adaptation of the tailcoat worn by both men and women during the Regency period.

Ladies Single Breasted Grey POW Check Suit Coat
Our women’s bespoke single-breasted two-piece suit in a monochrome Prince-of-Wales check is perfect for every occasion. The single-breasted coat features a peak lapel and double vent at the back to create a strong feminine silhouette, while the large patch pockets with their contrasting check placement create an intriguing, quirky garment that fully utilises the cloth’s beautiful design. The coat also features two inside ticket pockets for quick fuss-free storage. This particular model has accompanying trousers and skirt, and thanks to its versatile colour one could even wear the coat on its own with plain black trousers or jeans.

Ladies Single Breasted Blue Barleycorn Tweed Sports Coat
This barleycorn cloth is lovingly made by a specialist weaver in the heart of Scotland and woven on a historic Hattersley Domestic loom, made by Geo Hattersley of Keighley, the oldest firm of loom-makers in the world. A classic example of a Richard Anderson women’s sports coat; our cut for women is similar to our men’s – cut with high armholes and a flattering fitted waistline, this is a silhouette that moulds to you and should fit comfortably, yet like a glove.
