Bespoke for Ladies

Creating bespoke or custom clothing for ladies involves a different process; one does not simply apply the rules of men's tailoring. Women who demand excellence in bespoke tailoring are frequent customers at Richard Anderson.

Richard’s training as a designer and cutter allows him to create garments from scratch, drawing up illustrations and garment plans and creating a garment that is wholly designed for the customer.

The process involves taking measurements from the body in three dimensions, rather than working from a stock pattern or block.

An extra panel is constructed from additional measurements to enhance the bust and accentuate the waist of the jacket producing a line of ultimate elegance.

At Richard Anderson, tailoring clothes for women is not about making a female version of men's clothing and is far removed from the Boardroom power suits that some might expect.

Tailoring for women combines style, elegance and practicality. The clothes must match the personality and purpose the owner requires.
