Profile

Profile of London’s finest Bespoke Tailors.

Producing only the highest-quality garments, Richard Anderson clients have come to expect excellence as a given. Richard Anderson's clientele - many of whom are leaders in their own fields - are uncompromising in their demand for quality.

Richard Anderson Ltd is dedicated to producing the finest handcrafted British products for its clients. The company is living up to the vision held by its founders: to draw on the tradition and craftsmanship of Savile Row to create suits of life-long quality for modern men and women. Customers recognise this dedication, and although the company travels abroad several times a year, many customers travel great distances to visit the Savile Row showroom. Richard Anderson draws discerning customers from all over the world to the English Institution that is Savile Row.

Richard Anderson is a leader in the Savile Row contemporary style, setting trends that are swiftly taken up by others on 'the Row' and further afield. As a style leader, Richard Anderson has received many plaudits, but also awards.

Strickland & Sons

Richard Anderson Ltd, Savile Row’s leading bespoke tailor acquired Strickland & Sons, one of Savile Row’s oldest Houses in 2005. Strickland’s was founded in 1780 and moved from their home in Clifford Street to a town house at 15 Savile Row in March 1887. They were one of the first bespoke tailors to travel abroad to service their many clients in the United States and Canada soon after the turn of the century.

The large number of Strickland’s customers in the United States can take advantage of the three regular trips Richard Anderson makes to their homeland each year. The Strickland & Sons name lives on and Strickland customers visiting London will be welcomed at Sherborne House by Richard Anderson’s expert team just a few doors away from where Strickland’s life on the Row began.
